Moths

Moths, gentle creatures of the night.
It's easy to get their picture.  Just turn on the front porch light.
I thought it would be fun to add some moths to the animal pages of clipart, but I was amazed by the variety and quickly got hooked on snapping their pictures.  Aren't they beautiful? I've learned (thanks to the net) that there are over 10,000 identified species of moths in North America.  This is just a small sampling of those on a front porch in Southwest Missouri.

Since I am a graphic artist, and not really a moth collector, these moths aren't identified, however, if anyone would like to identify them, I'll be glad to give you credit.  Each moth is numbered..just right click and choose properties to see their number.  If you would you like to learn more about moths, here are some moth sites I found on the net.

wonder about you, however, the black light works great! Most of these
moths were attracted to my porch by the blacklight.
